Introduction

Flying is the safest mode of transportation. However accidents do happen and human error is the number one cause.

   When a plane does  go down, Most have heard or read ATC (Air Traffic Control) report  "Radar Contact Lost" or "Lost Radar Contact". 

Lost Radar Contact takes a look at recent accidents and there cause.  Not all emergencies end in a crash or lost aircraft.  ATC is there to help.  The following audio is a flight into IMC (Instrument Meteorological Conditions). The pilot was not IFR Rated and was only allowed to fly in VFR (Visual Flight Rules) . To fly in IMC one must be IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) Rated (AKA) Instrument Rated.
